The catamaran training for women was especially popular and fully booked already days before the event. The training was made on a BAVARIA NAUTITECH OPEN 40 by the likeable circumnavigator Mareike Guhr. After three hours packed solid with manoeuvres and many helpful hints, the female sailors were elat-ed and happy: "Mareike is the perfect trainer. She has so much experience and a fantastic way to pass this on," said one participant. "And it is great that BAVARIA YACHTS enabled us to take this training!"
Other hands-on training sessions on the water were made by sailing instructor Richard Jeske (from Well Sailing in Neustadt/Holstein), especially regarding harbour manoeuvres. "Many owners and charter clients took part who were a little bit unsure about harbour manoeuvring, or who simply wanted to pick up a few helpful hints," said Richard Jeske.
Other workshops were held on dry land in the marina's boat shed, topics included rig trim and navigation with the chart plotter. Jörg Tapken for B&G and Simrad and Jonas Renken from Segelwerkstatt Warnemünde held the workshops in a relaxed and cheerful manner, passing on valuable know-how to the attending boat owners.
Whoever wanted to take a good look at new BAVARIA models could do so at leisure in Hohe Düne, where the BAVARIA dealers AP Yachting, Nordostsee Yachten, Imex-Yachting and Allert Marin presented three sailing yachts and one motor boat.
