For the perfect day at sea – the new BAVARIA SR36

The world premiere in Palma

It is the second boat of the new BAVARIA SR‐LINE from BAVARIA YACHTS (after the BAVARIA SR41) and yet it is so much more at the same time. Instead of simply further developing the already well‐proven concept of the BAVARIA SR41, the team once again began with a blank sheet of paper. A new start from scratch, for the second time. During this process, every function of the boat was scrutinised and rethought.

WORLD PREMIERE: The new BAVARIA SR36 will celebrate her debut at the Palma Boat Show 2022.

This fresh outlook has taken the concept one level further. Open‐air living on deck and in the cockpit has been even more accentuated, with flexible solutions to adapt the boat to its users’ personal needs. Below deck are two large, separated double cabins to provide retreat possibilities and maximum privacy. The development of this boat took a year, during which a complete model of the interior was built on a scale of 1:1 so that the feeling of space on board could be experienced. An investment that was definitely worth it when you now see the final result.

Outside

Life takes place outside, especially on the water. As a perfect transition from the water (or from the jetty or the dinghy) on board, there is the very large bathing platform at the stern. It’s a real terrace on the water, extending across the full width of the boat. This also makes it easier to get on board when the boat is moored alongside a low floating pontoon. Or consider the bathing platform your very own „private beach“ whenever the boat is at anchor. It also includes a U‐shaped seating area with a table from which you can enjoy an unobstructed view aft over the water. You can even turn the seating area into a large sun lounger.

Whether as seating area, sunbed or storage space, the lounge on the stern of the BAVARIA SR36 adapts perfectly to your wishes.

The cockpit of the BAVARIA SR36: A clever layout and plenty of space for relaxed days on board.

We continue with a so‐called „wet bar“ in the open cockpit, which is actually more like a real small outdoor kitchen in terms of scope and equipment. Of course, a large refrigerator is just as much a part of it as a cooker, grill and sink. And suddenly, we have a compact kitchen with an unobstructed sea view, where more than just delicious snacks can be prepared.

The food can then be enjoyed directly opposite, at a dining table with an L‐shaped sofa settee around it. This area with kitchen and dining table is half indoor, half outdoor under the hardtop, but more on that in a moment. At the front end of the cockpit, on both sides of the wide and safe companionway, is the driver’s station. To starboard with all the controls and a bench which can fit up to two people, to port with another seat for the co‐pilot and the sun lounger that is already familiar from the BAVARIA SR41, directly behind the windscreen. When underway, this is a fantastic place to relax. Very safe, completely sheltered, yet with unobstructed views all around and direct communication with the driver.

All instruments within sight and a perfect 360‐degree all‐round view.

The BAVARIA SR36 is available in two versions. The classic hardtop version and the open‐top version with a low windscreen. The open‐top version thus combines the comfort of a hardtop with the sporty appeal and driving feel of an open yacht.

Another large sun lounger is located on the foredeck. A high and solid railing and handrails on the superstructure provide extra safety on deck, as do the side running decks, which are much wider than usual on older motorboats.

Wide gangboards to move comfortably and safely on deck, as well as a large sunbed on the foredeck.

Inside

Large windows in the hull let plenty of light into the cabins. As mentioned, there are two double cabins, of which the aft one has a 1.90 metre long sofa which can also be used as a third, optional berth. Amidships there is a bathroom with a separate shower, as well as a small dinette and kitchenette where you can enjoy a first, early coffee.

The BAVARIA SR36 is available in an open layout to the bow cabin or with a closed bulkhead as a separate cabin (see picture).

The bow cabin is one of the two spacious double cabins on board the BAVARIA SR36.

The second double cabin with a large 2.19 by 1.99 metre bed on the midship line is forward. This can either be installed as a closed, separated cabin, or in an open layout. The latter would have the advantage of a visually larger feeling of space, but of course the privacy of the cabin would suffer. The choice is yours, depending on the intended use – whether as a family boat or perhaps rather for two couples?

Engines

Four powertrains with two engines each are available. Three petrol engines, either a MerCruiser, or Volvos, each with six or eight cylinders, and one drive with two Volvo diesel engines.
